Assigning an access key to a Button control:
- An access key is a type of key which is pressed with the “Alt” key and used for accessing the control fast.
- This key can be applied on buttons and menu items.
- An access key is assigned to a button by clicking the event or using access key.
- The steps followed to assign an access key to a button change the button appearance.
- In “TextProperty”, “&” symbol is placed in front of the “x” letter which means “E&xit”.
- Even though the “&” is a part of the button control’s “Text” property, it is not displayed on the button.
- The “x” letter will appear underlined in the display form because the “&” in front of the letter.
- This represents that the button may clicked by pressing “Alt + x” on the keyboard.
