Textbook Question
Chapter 3, Problem 3IA.5Q
Draw the Lewis structure for carbon dioxide. What is the molecular shape (geometry) around the carbon in carbon dioxide? Show the polarity of the bonds between C and O on the structure you drew using the dipole moment arrow. Unlike NH3 and H2O, CO2 overall has no dipole. Although CO2 has polar bonds, it is a nonpolar molecule. Provide an explanation for this. [Hint: Consider its shape.]

Please help me with this question (Explain). What would be the correct answer?
Draw the structural formula (with lone pairs) for the two molecules, water (H2O) and isopropanol (C3H8O). Draw a dipole arrow to show the direction the electrons are being pulled and label the areas of partial positive and negative charges.
Note: the bond between C and H is NOT POLAR. Do not draw dipole arrows or partial charges for those bonds.
