Introduction:
Both cilia and microvilli, are types of cellular appendages that extend from the cell membrane. Despite the minute similarities, both are different in terms of their structure and functions. Cilia are small hair-like structures present on the surface of certain organisms and microvilli are present on the epithelial surfaces.
