The study of cells and their organelles is known as “cell biology”.

The intracellular fluid compartment includes the overall water molecule that is present in both cytoplasm and water that is present in all the cell organelles, including the nucleus. The largest amount of intracellular fluid is however present in the cytosol. The chemical composition of water or fluids present in the organelles and nucleus varies greatly.
