Importance of the interfunctional cooperation for a new- product design:
It is vital as it takes into account when various possible views from different departments in the formation of the new product. For instance, the marketing department will be having an idea or two for a product design. However, the manufacturing department may advise that the product in the present state is not feasible for modification.
Similarly, the manufacturing department may have a concept for a product, but the marketing department may indicate there is no way to market that product. Hence, interfunctional cooperation is significant for a new-product design.
