I am a person who associate different people from different traditions, ethnicity, races and social classes. I am living in a vibrant multicultural country; therefore, it demands individuals to embrace the cultural differences positively. I associate people from different cultures. Recently, I had been working closely with different Maldivian and Chinese individuals to work on a personality project for my assessment in Business and Protocol. I came across many major differences among us since their thinking and understanding patterns are highly different to mine, this enabled me to learn and experience a different way of thinking and doing things. Further, I came across certain differences that could be easily observed and seen from the way they talk, the way they dress and behave. However, there are other aspects that are invisible such as their values and beliefs that cannot be understood easily. Therefore, to discover these factors, I had to closely associate with these individuals and start making conversations about different topics and areas.

Moreover, in my early days of college I was highly afraid to work with different people, since I believed I might not get along and be uncomfortable. However, overtime I had the urge to discover how people behave and see things from different angles. Since my ambition was to become a social entrepreneur, therefore it geared my likeliness to associate with people from different cultural background and learn and discover new fascinating things.

Reaching out to people from different culture is vital as the world is evolving. It is highly substantial to embrace cultural differences in the modern era to thrive and survive as an individual due to the increasingly growing pace of globalization that has made cultures more noticeable and celebrated. There are many different cultures in the world, and these can be divided further as well. It is a pattern of shared values and assumptions about how things are done that enables individuals to work with different people and become more interactive.
