Concept Introduction:

The nucleic acids are made up of the monomers Nucleotides.  The Nucleotides contains nitrogen base, sugar molecule and phosphate ion.  The nitrogen base and sugar molecule are linked by N-glycosidic bond and the sugar molecule and phosphate ion are linked by ester bond.
