Question
Chapter 27.L1, Problem 3CSR
Summary Introduction
To review:
What could be the importance of the fact that the truck that carried rotten and broken cantaloupes was taken to a nearby ranch where they were fed to cattle.
Introduction:
In this case study, the Listeria monocytogenes outbreak was caused in people who had consumed cantaloupes, especially “Rocky Ford” cantaloupes. This was a bit unusual as the infection is known to spread through consumption of unpasteurized milk, soft cheeses, and processed meats, although outbreaks in 2009 and 2010 had been linked to sprouts and celery.

The article could be about the pathogen itself, the disease process related to the pathogen, the immune response to the pathogen, vaccines or treatments that affect the pathogen, or other biology-related study about the pathogen. I recommend that you choose a pathogen that is currently interesting to researchers, so that you will be able to find plenty of articles about it.
