The segment of the polymer that would be formed from 1,2-polymerization of 1,3-butadiene has to be drawn.

Concept Introduction:

The process by which the monomer molecules are linked to form a big polymer molecule is called polymerization.

In addition polymerization process, monomers just add on to form the polymer without the elimination of any product.

From 1,3-butadiene various type of polymers can be synthesized through different polymerization process such as 1,2-addition, trans 1,4-addition, cis-1,4-addition.
