CCK (cholecystokinin) is a hormone which is secreted by the endocrine cells that form a lining on the mucosa of the small intestine. In the central nervous system and peripheral nerves, it functions as a neurotransmitter. GLP-1, also termed as incretin, is a glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide. It functions to reduce blood sugar level by secreting insulin.
