To describe: The unikonts such as amoebas, plasmodial slime molds, cellular slime molds, and choanoflagellates and compare them.
Introduction: Unikonts is a broad group of organisms that includes many different species of organisms that have some biological characters that are common to all of them. The common feature of all the species in the unikonts super group is the presence of a single flagellum that is posteriorly positioned in their flagellated cells. One of the prominent features of the unikionts is the presence of “triple-gene fusion” which is of great evolutionary significance.
