Introduction:

Nutrition is the basis of all life activities, and it is done by the process called metabolism. In metabolism, the raw materials are taken up and the process of digestion takes place by breaking down the large molecules into small biomolecules. These small biomolecules are further absorbed by the intestinal cells and the energy to all living things is provided. The appetite and body weight are controlled by some peptide hormones; they are known as gut-peptide hormones.
