Introduction:

HIV stands for Human immunodeficiency virus which causes a serious disease in the body known as AIDS (Acquired immune deficiency syndrome). AIDS is a condition in which the immune system of the body is weakened, leaving the body unable to fight off illness. HIV virus lives inside the body and destroys all the helper T-cells of immune system. Without helper T-cells, the body is unable to fight with the normal disease causing organisms such as bacteria, fungi, virus, and so on that is why in this infection, the body remains always sick which leads to severe weight loss. AIDS also affects the brain and central nervous system.
