Podocytesare the cells found in the visceral layer of the glomerular capsulewrapped around the glomerular capillaries. Podocytehas a roudcell body and several thick arms. Numerous little extensions called foot processes (pedicels) that wrap around the glomerular blood capillaries arise from each arm.
