Introduction:

Water quality testing technique is used to detect the presence of indicator organism like Escherichia coli and other coliform or pathogenic bacteria in water. The presence of E. coli in water indicates the presence of other pathogenic strain. There are several methods to detect the presence of coliform in water. These methods are membrane filtration, ONPG test, biosensor, and MUG test.
