Concept Introduction:

Proteins: Proteins are condensation polymers formed from amino acids. Proteins provide structural support, help organisms move, store and transport chemicals from one area to another. Proteins are polymers, in which the amino acids called monomers bonded each other by eliminating water molecule, and the formation of amide linkage which known as condensation process. The bonding between two amino acids otherwise known as peptide bonds; all together the proteins are condensation polymers of amino acids or amino acids are the building blocks of proteins.
