How does the law of the conservation of energy relate to the first law of
Relation between law of the conservation of energy and the first law of thermodynamics.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
As per law of conservation of energy, one form of energy can be converted to another but energy cannot form or disappear. As per the first law of thermodynamics, when heat is given to the system, some of the energy goes into changing the internal energy and some in the work done.
Heat = Work done+ Internal energy
Basically, the first law of thermodynamics is a different version of the law of conservation of energy which ismodified for thermodynamic processes.
