Introduction:
As soon as the sperm and an egg fertilize, it activates the process of development. One cell becomes two, two becomes four and the multicellular organism is created. The process of rapid cell division which is followed by fertilization is called cleavage. The cells that are created in the process of cleavage are called blastomeres. A mass of blastomeres in the embryo so formed is called blastula. The process to understand the inside of the egg cytoplasm when it is divided into many blastomeres is called cytoplasmic determinants.
