Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Respiration, also called as breathing is a process where oxygen (O2) is inhaled into the lungs and carbon dioxide (CO2) is exhaled from the lungs. Respiration is divided into two phases known as inspiration and expiration. Inspiration is breathing in of O2 and expiration is breathing out CO2. The pH is a measurement of the number of hydrogen ions concentration present in the blood. The partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PCO2) is the amount of CO2 gas dissolved in the blood.

Humans consider themselves amazingly clever and innovative, constantly developing "new" ways of altering the world around us. As material consumption has increased, many have turned to the ideas of recycling and reuse as a means to minimize some negative aspects of our modern consumerism. Mother Nature though is the ultimate innovator and, more importantly, the ultimate recycler.
