Summary Introduction

Introduction: Seedless vascular plants have sporophyte-dominant generation, that is, sporophytes are large and long lived. They consisted of two vascular lineages—monilophytes and lycophytes. Monilophytes lineage includes ferns, horsetails, and whisk ferns, and lycophytes lineage includes club mosses and spike mosses. Horsetails include Equisetum species and form spores in a strobilus.
