Introduction:

Iron is found in a very negligible amount in biomass but it is very important for the growth of living organisms as they require iron as a cofactor for enzymes and is also a component of haemoglobin. Its availability is low because it shows low solubility in oxidized form. Most of the iron is found in Earth’s crust, soil, and aquatic ecosystems.
