The reason why the lower respiratory system is called the “respiratory tree”.

Introduction:

Respiration is the process of gaseous exchange between the environment and the body. This process needs the nose, nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, and lungs. The alveoli are air sacs present in the lowermost part of the lungs. The parts involved in the respiration is divided into upper and lower respiratory system. The upper respiratory system is more prone to respiratory infection compared to the lower respiratory system.
