Concept Introduction:Nerve poison, also referred to as nerve agents or nerve gases, are the chemicals that act on the nervous system. It damages the mechanism of human body by which nerves transfer signals to various organs. This damage is caused by the enzyme Acetylcholinesterase which results in the breakdown of a neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.
The symptoms of nerve poisoning are as follows:
- Profuse salivation
- Involuntary urination
- Convulsions
- Construction of pupil
- Defecation
