2. Use Heisenberg's uncertainty principle to make a more quantitative estimate of the precision with
which the position and momentum of electrons can be found in the two-slit experiment. If you are
able to see an interference pattern (i.e. separate a maximum from a minimum), what typical
precision do you have on the wavelength of the electron, and thus what precision do you have on
the momentum of the electron. Now apply Heisenberg's principle to work out the precision you
have on the position of the particle. Does this help explain the wave-particle duality of electrons?
