Introduction:
The absorptive state is a state which occurs after the ingestion of a meal when the body undergoes food digestion and absorbs the nutrients. In the absorptive state anabolism rate is higher than the catabolism rate. Digestion begins from ingestion of food into the mouth as the food breaks down to its constituent parts in order to be absorbed through intestine.
