Introduction:

The animals use glycogen for storage of glucose in muscles and liver. The energy present within bonds of glucose is converted to a form of chemical energy as ATP or Adenosine triphosphate which is easily accessible for biological functions. Carbohydrates are absorbed and circulate in blood as glucose and stored as glycogen in skeletal muscles and liver.
