Introduction:

The two major groups of Euglenozoans have distinct cell membranes that appear in the form of array of discs after visualization under a microscope. These organisms have an eye spot which is light sensitive and propels these organisms towards the light. The movement is caused by flagella. $\text{DNA}$ in the mitochondria of the kinetoplastids appears in the form of complex assemblies. The examples of organisms with kinetoplastids include trypanosoma which causes African sleeping sickness. Malaria is caused by a protozoan organism called as plasmodium.
