Lipid or fat is composed of a long chain of alkanes or esters from alcohols and fatty acids. Beeswax and paraffin are well known example of lipids.Natural lipids are specifically the esters formed from the esterification of fatty acids and long chain alcohols. Ester of animalwax derived from a various carboxylic acids and alcohols. As they are hydrophobic in nature, lipids and fat prevents water to stick on the surface of plants and animals.
