Chapter 21, Problem 14CP
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The role of aldosterone and ADH (anti-diuretic hormone) in long-term restoration of blood volume.
Introduction:
The responses in the body include the short-term responses and long term responses for regulating the restoration of blood volume. They maintain and regulate the volume of blood in the body. This process of regulation of the blood flow takes place after the hemorrhagic injury to the body. The role and function of the anti-diuretic hormone (ADH) and aldosterone is to retain the fluid in the nephrons of the kidney thus leading to a decrease in the fluid volume.
