To describe:

The function of the adrenal cortex in regulation of the electrolyte balance.

Introduction:

The intake of the electrolytes is primarily through the intake of the food and fluids and secondarily as by-product of the metabolic reaction. The output of the electrolytes present in the body is primarily though urine, and secondarily through the process of perspiration and feces excretion.

A balance should be maintained between the intake and output of the electrolytes present in the body, so that normal number of electrolytes present in the body is maintained.
