Introduction:

The term balance is defined as a state of equilibrium in which the rate of intake is equal to the rate of output. By the term water balance, it means that the water taken in by the body should be equal to the water excreted out of the body. Similarly, the electrolyte balance is the input value of the electrolytes that is to be equal to the output value.
