Differences of oral and anal stages of psychosexual development, and their contribution to personality development.

Introduction:

The oral stage is first and primary stage of psychosexual development starts from birth to second year (0-18months) during this period the main source of pleasure is the mouth. The third stage is phallic stage of psychosexual development and lies between in the age of 4 to 5 year (3.5 - 6 years) approxiamately and in this stage the pleasure shifts from anus to the genitals.
