Summary Introduction

To determine:

The specific molecule which is being regulated by the drug, when a patient is given a new drug that decreases blood sugar levels.

Concept introduction:

A drug is intentionally used to lower the levels of blood sugar in the patient. The drug will combine with the simpler forms of sugar. The glucose is present in the simpler form of sugar which makes may combine as monomer units and form glycogen. The glycogen is a complex form of sugar found in tissues.

The table shows the utility Jordan receives at various income levels, but they do not know what their income will be next year. There is a 15% chance their income will be $25,000, a 20% chance their income will be $35,000, and a 65% chance their income will be $45,000.
