The ionic compounds
Concept introduction:
The ionic compounds are formed when two or more atoms form a compound through transfer of one or more electrons between atoms. The bonding between ionic compound is known as ionic bonding. The arrangement of atoms in an ionic compound is a regular arrangement in which each cation is surrounded by several anions and each anion is surrounded by several cations. While in molecular compounds the arrangement of atoms is irregular.
