Introduction:
Platelets are minute fragments of length. They are also called thrombocytes. They consist of a small amount of cytoplasm surrounded by a plasma membrane. They are roughly disc-shaped. Their cytoplasm also contains actin and myosin that cause contraction of the platelets.
