Introduction:
“Streptococcus pneumonia” is a gram-positive bacterium, which found in pairs of cocci and is non-motile. Its virulence is determined by the chemical composition of its capsule. According to polysaccharide capsule composition Streptococcus pneumonia is found in ninety serotypes.
Pneumonia defined is an inflammatory condition of the lung in which fluid fills the alveoli. Community-acquired pneumonia generally occurred in a population. Healthcare-associated pneumonia develops in individuals receiving treatment at health care facilities and hospitals.
