Introduction:

Heartbeat is an involuntary action, controlled by the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The autonomic nervous system is classified into two divisions: sympathetic and parasympathetic system. The sympathetic nervous system increases the heartbeat at the time of flight and fight stress. The parasympathetic nervous system decreases the heartbeat at the time of rest and digestion.
