Introduction:

Ames test is a type of test which used to detect the mutagenic activity of different chemicals by observing its effects as it cause mutation in bacteria. It is a biological method used for detection of mutation in test organisms. This test is based on principle that both cancer and mutation occurs as a result of DNA damage.
