Explanation of Solution
In a galvanic cell, chemical energy is changed to electrical energy while in electrolytic cell electrical energy changes to chemical energy.
In a galvanic cell, oxidation results at the anode and reduction takes place at the cathode. In an electrolytic cell, oxidation occurs at cathode and reduction occurs at the anode.
