Introduction:

Bacteria and archaea gave a defense system called CRISPR-Cas system which provide defense againt bacteriophages like viruses and against transposons. Later scientists have found that this system can be exploited to mutate genes in living cells. This gene mutation process is calle CRISPR-Cas technology.
