Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Rabies is a viral disease infected by any animal having this virus; this includes cows, cats, horses and bats. Rabies virus infects the brain and it leads to lethal effects. After being bitten, the virus enters the muscle and is deposited in subcutaneous tissue. It stays there for several months in an incubation period. After that, the virus travels to the peripheral nervous system and then to the brain to become fatal. This disease is prevented by avoiding contact with the diseased person, unvaccinated pets, and wild animals. Symptoms of rabies are headache, fever, and weakness.
