Software life cycle:

Software life cycle is the concept in which software is developed and coded, and it has evolved over the time.

• The software life cycle includes the following phases to build new software. They are as follows:

Phases of software life cycle:

Requirements:

• It is the first phase of the software life cycle. This process is used to analyze the requirements of the customer.
• It gives the abstract idea what they really need as an end of the result.

Specifications:

• It is the second phase of the software life cycle. It reflects the functionality needed to meet the requirements.

Design:

• It is the third phase of the software life cycle.
• It defines the required features and operations through the process diagrams, software architecture, algorithmic details, and interface representations.

Implementation:

• It is the fourth phase of the software life cycle.
• In this phase, programmers do the code for the above requirements and designs.

Maintenance:

• It is the last phase of the software life cycle.
• It makes the missing requirements as changes to redesign the software that takes some time and effort to enhance the software.
