Chapter 18, Problem 22PDQ
Summary Introduction
To determine: The function of ubiquitin ligases in the regulation of gene expression.
Introduction: An ubiquitin ligase is a protein which allows E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that has been loaded with ubiquitin. It recognizes a protein substrate. The ubiquitin ligase enzyme catalyzes the transfer of ubiquitin from the E2 to the protein substrate.
