Introduction:

The biomolecules involved in speeding up the chemical reactions taking place inside a cell are termed as enzymes. The enzymes reduce the activation energy needed for a reaction and hence, accelerate the rate at which the reaction occurs. Various enzymes take part in the process of digestion as well as absorption.
