Chapter 18, Problem 12MC
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Human immune virus (HIV) specifically targets and destroys the T-cells and causes AIDS. The HIV attaches specifically through the CD4 receptors present on the T-cells, and gains the entry into cells, where it replicates and stays as a latent virus. It gets integrated with the cell’s genome and it is passed to all the daughter cells.
