The hormones secreted by the three different zones of the adrenal cortex.
Introduction:
Adrenal glands are a pair of endocrine glands located on top of each kidney. The adrenal cortex that is derived from somatic mesoderm surrounds the adrenal medulla. The cortex forms the bulk of the gland and is located external to the medulla. Adrenal medulla is derived from the neural crest cells and is controlled by the sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system.
