Concept introduction: A condition in which the skin’s color changes to yellow is known as jaundice. High levels of bilirubin (a product of heme breakdown) in the blood get deposited on the skin, causing discoloration of the white skin into yellow. Jaundice occurs as a sign of different types of primary disorders. Based on this, there are three types of jaundice, namely prehepatic jaundice, intrahepatic jaundice, and posthepatic jaundice.

Concept introduction: Hepatitis is a disease that primarily affects the liver and causes inflammation. Hepatitis is majorly caused due to viral infections and is termed as viral hepatitis. There are five different types of viruses that cause hepatitis, namely HAV, HBV, HCV, HDV, and HEV
