Introduction: Transcription is the copying of a gene’s DNA to make RNA molecules. It is the first step in gene expression. Control of gene expression is essential to all organisms. Gene expression is controlled at the level of transcription initiation. Regulatory proteins bind to specific and affect the binding of RNA polymerase to the promoter.
