Certain fluid-like materials are present in the eyes. The main role of these fluids is to protect the eyes from foreign pathogens. Other functions include cleansing of the eyes, along with providing nutrition to the lens. These specialized fluids of the eyes include the lacrimal gland along with the aqueous and vitreous humor.
