The eyes are the major sensory organs of the visual process. The receptors of the eye are known as photoreceptors that sense different intensities of light and provide vision. The sclera, the choroid, and the retina are three layers of the eye where the retina is the innermost layer and comprises photoreceptor cells. The rod and the cone cells are the two forms of the photoreceptor that provide vision in dark and light regions.
